#OccupyKossuth

2018 | 3 minutes | Documentary

When the closure of educational institutions signals the death of intellectual thought and academic freedom, what remains for youth when their freedoms are under threat?

In Budapest, students gathered in front of Parliament to conclude a week-long protest, expressing solidarity and mourning the loss of academic freedom. This final day of protest marks nearly two years of resistance by students and staff of the renowned Central European University (CEU) against restrictive policies imposed by Hungary’s right-wing Fidesz government in early 2017.
